In this powerful variation of Crow/Crane pose, we are drawing one knee toward the midline of the body, and extending one leg out behind. Shifting the hips high in this pose is essential. If we try to get into this pose with the hips low, the pose becomes very heavy. This asana improves balance & concentration & strengthens the upper back, shoulders & core.
